This Privacy Policy explains how Centreline Concepts (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "the Platform") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information in connection with the Centreline platform. We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). By using the Platform you consent to the practices described here.
We collect: account information (name, email, mobile number); authentication data; school/ATO affiliation; subscription, billing and EFT payment-reference information; learning data (course progress, practice and mock-exam results, weak areas, achievements); exam goal and booking dates you provide; and technical data (device, log, and usage information) needed to operate the Platform.
We use your information to: provide and personalise the learning experience; track progress and generate recommendations; manage subscriptions, billing and access; issue certificates where you are eligible and your school approves; communicate service, billing and progress notifications; provide support; and improve and secure the Platform.
We process personal information where it is necessary to perform our contract with you, where you have given consent, to comply with a legal obligation, or for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Platform — always balanced against your rights under POPIA.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: your flight school / ATO where you are an affiliated or school-billed student (see below); trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (payment processing, email delivery, cloud hosting and analytics) under appropriate data-processing terms; and authorities where required by law. Some providers may process data outside South Africa (see International Transfers).
If you register through, are billed by, or are affiliated with a flight school, that school's administrators can see your enrolment, progress, achievements and certificate eligibility so they can support your training. Schools cannot see your individual payment-card data. You will be notified of any change to your school relationship.
Appearing on the community/achievement feed is optional and off by default — you choose whether to be shown. We never publish exam scores below 100% or any real-examination score. You can change your visibility at any time in your settings.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and authentication — to protect your personal information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and will notify you and the Information Regulator of a material breach as required by POPIA.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer required, information is securely deleted or anonymised.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; to request correction or deletion; to object to certain processing; and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. To exercise these rights, contact our Information Officer at privacy@centrelineconcepts.co.za.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Student pilots may be under 18. Where a user is a minor, registration and use must be authorised by a parent or legal guardian, whose consent forms the basis for processing the minor's personal information. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review, correct, or remove their child's information.
Some of our service providers (such as cloud hosting and email delivery) may store or process data outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure your information receives a level of protection consistent with POPIA.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, for material changes, notify registered users by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
